BEST Eats for your Beverly Hills trip (Los Angeles, CA)

Here are our recommendations for affordable but exceptional breakfast and dinner in Beverly Hills of Los Angeles. 

These are seriously MUST-VISITS. Each place will give you a unique experience as they are truly the whole package when it comes to dining.  From quality food to overall ambiance, you will not be disappointed in these visits!!

Breakfast:  You need to visit the cutest café called, La La Land Kind Café. There are a few locations, but I recommend the one on 3^rd Street (8361 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048). 

This café is SO dreamy with its elegant white and yellow décor and open concept. It is a casual but cute environment where you can order at the counter, choose your table outside or inside, and wait for your order to be brought to you.  

Their menu consists of so many yummy options to choose from.  This café has tea on tap which is definitely unique as well. They even let you sample the flavors before ordering! Try their signature cloud foam on their morning coffees. 

They serve their beverages in reusable cups (yes, BPA free) that you can take home with you.  We chose the "La La Latte" and "The Perfect Matcha Latte".  Both were some of the best we EVER had! Tip: Make sure to ask for less ice so that you get the most of your drink! 

They also have the MOST amazing breakfast toasts to choose from for your meal. When I tell you this was the best I have EVER had... It seriously was! They had the most perfect and unique combo of flavors on a piece of toast: Thai chili sauce and garlic aioli with eggs, avocado, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was a reasonable portion size as well! I was full for breakfast after my toast and coffee. 

In addition to their chill vibes and amazing food, they also have the cutest little gift shop in the back with teddy bears, coffee mugs, tote bags, and more.

Dinner: You have to try this Japanese restaurant called “Uchi.”  Uchi is not your typical sushi joint. This restaurant is a sophisticated, omakase dining experience. You may opt out of the experience, of course, to enjoy their food in a typical restaurant fashion. 

My boyfriend and I highly recommend experiencing Uchi in one of their three methods... 

First, you can order dishes for the table. In this method, you choose every dish you want and share with the table so that everyone is able to try their carefully discovered dishes. This is ideal for larger groups of people.  

The next two methods are called omakase style.  This is a special tasting experience. 

In one case, you can ask for the chef’s tasting. For this experience, the chef picks ten courses for your table to try. It ideally feeds two to three people, and you will get dishes from every category on the menu including caviar.  This is a flat rate of $400 total and includes dessert.  

The last option, and our personal favorite, is the curated tasting.  In this experience, my boyfriend and I were able to do a tasting, but it was totally geared towards what we wanted. Let me explain... Basically, we determine our flat rate which can be as low or as high as we want, and the waitress brings out courses within our budget.  We could have also given her a number of courses we would like instead of a budget. The way she chooses these dishes comes from a series of questions: sweet or spicy, raw or cooked, meat or fish etc.  She uses this information to curate our very own tasting.  We are also able to tell her to include any specific items from the menu that we definitely want in our tasting. 

In our tasting, we were able to have 12 courses including dessert at half the price of the chef’s tasting!  Our waitress actually even went below our given budget. And yes, we were completely stuffed afterwards!  

This experience was so much fun to do as a couple, and we cannot wait to go back! The menu is unlike any other, and they truly serve only the best, freshest foods. 

The way that they mix flavors in a dish is one-of-a-kind. You will have the most unique dining experience of your life when visiting Uchi. Don’t worry, if you are not in Beverly Hills, check out their other Uchi Locations for the same experience.
